Little Light Of Mine photographer, Anna Caradona, recently photographed 15-year-old Lynsey and her mother, Laurie. This photo shoot follows a difficult year of repeated hospital visits and Lynsey’s struggle to combat her illness.
While they live every day with the very real possibility of loss, their bond is powerful and their love of life inspiring. This was the second time Little Light Of Mine has photographed this mother and daughter duo. We are so grateful to know them and appreciate them for letting us share their thoughts and their photos with you!
“I am 15 years old and am currently battling a disease called Cystic Fibrosis. My mom and I chose to have these pictures taken to represent how a disease like Cystic Fibrosis doesn’t have to control your life. I embrace the life given to me in every way possible by doing things I love. I love to run, and my favorite place to go is the beach. Some days I do fight this illness harder than ever, but at the end of the day, I am Lynsey. I am an extremely fun, sweet, and enjoyable person. I’m not my illness. Chose to live your live full of joy, positivity and never forget to pursue your desires.” ~ Lynsey
“We cherish the pictures taken. They are priceless to us, and Anna was just wonderful!” ~ Laurie, Lynsey’s mom
Special thanks to our volunteer photographer, Anna Cardona, of Light of the Moon Photography, for taking time to lovingly photograph Laurie and Lynsey. The images are beautiful and we appreciate your dedication to the mission.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. Whether you are still holding your babies in your arms or only in your hearts, we love you and honor you and your little ones.
